Tori and Amanda- A catapult is a device used to throw or hurl a projectile a great distance without the aid of explosive devices. They have been used since Medieval and Ancient times. In Greek, it means "kata" (downward) and "pultos" (a small circular battle shield).

A trebuchet is a device that is that is designed to break or circumvent city walls and other fortifications during the Middle Ages. It is often more accurate than a catapult. It uses the energy of raised counterweight to throw objects.

Shauna- A catapult is a lever and pulley. It was used in ancient times during battle. The device is used to throw/hurl a projectile a great distance.

A trebuchet is a first class lever but also has a wheel and axle. It is more accurate than a catapult.
